This marks our very first product update post — and it’s a big one. Hooper is evolving fast, and this release introduces Teams for organized rosters, massive AI Scorer Detection accuracy gains, and brand-new Leaderboards to compete globally. It’s the beginning of a smarter, more connected Hooper.
Teams are here — build a roster and let our AI use that information for a smarter, more automated tagging experience. Keep your squad organized and view team-wide highlights and stats in one place.
Panning support has quietly improved behind the scenes — and it’s now officially ready. It’s come a long way since our first tests and continues to get better. If you’ve got an auto-panning gimbal or tripod, try the Import feature and see the difference.
We’ve made major improvements to scorer detection accuracy. Expect more precise shot recognition, cleaner player assignment, and smoother highlight generation across angles and lighting conditions.
As you can tell from the screenshots above, we’ve also released Player Mode Tagging — a faster, player-centric way to tag sessions. You can lock onto a specific player for quicker confirmations and cleaner edits. It’s especially useful for trainers or parents tracking multiple athletes.
Compete worldwide — both individually and by groups. For now, rankings are based on the sessions you’re tagged to. We’re launching this early to gather feedback and refine it over time.
Huge thanks to everyone who’s been sending in feedback, testing features, and helping us improve Hooper every week. Special shout-outs to our Discord community — bettercallscott, whereswalle4, andrewthaggard, jasonh0711, brianlau, SBTraining, saajanp2, jobu, electroma.25, and jubrux.
